Temperature Detection Door (also known as Temperature Measurement Security Door) is a channel-type security device that integrates non-contact infrared temperature measurement and metal detection functions. Its core principle is to capture human thermal radiation through infrared sensors, quickly calculate body temperature, and screen out personnel with abnormal high temperature.

1. Core Working Principle (Infrared Temperature Measurement)

Based on Blackbody Radiation Law and infrared thermal sensing technology.

Thermal Radiation Emission. Any object above absolute zero (-273.15°C), including the human body, continuously emits infrared thermal radiation. The radiation intensity is positively correlated with surface temperature.

Energy Collection and Focusing. The infrared probe (optical lens) on the door collects infrared radiation from the human body (mainly forehead/face), which is focused by a lens onto the infrared detector (e.g., thermopile, vanadium oxide sensor).

Photoelectric Conversion. The detector converts infrared energy into weak electrical signals, which are amplified, filtered, and converted into digital signals via AD conversion.

Temperature Calculation and Compensation. The main control chip calculates the temperature according to the formula, and performs ambient temperature compensation and skin emissivity correction (skin emissivity ≈ 0.98).

Judgment and Alarm

Compare with the set threshold (e.g., 37.3°C):

▪  Normal temperature: green light, no alarm, pass .

▪  High temperature: sound and light alarm (buzzer + red light), high temperature displayed on the screen .

2. Structure Composition

Main Door Frame: left and right door panels + top control box, height about 2m .

Infrared Temperature Measurement Module

▪  1 or multiple infrared temperature probes (usually installed at 1.5–2m height on the upper part of the door frame) .

▪  Optical system, infrared sensor, signal processing board .

Metal Detection Module (Optional)

▪  Transmit/receive coils, electromagnetic drive and detection circuit .

▪  Independent detection in multiple zones (6/8 zones) .

Control and Display

Main control CPU, LCD/digital tube, buttons/remote control .

Alarm System

High-brightness LED indicators, buzzer .

Power Supply and Interface

Switching power supply, network port/USB, data storage .

3. Main Technical Features

▪  Non-contact & Non-inductive: no contact with human body, no risk of cross-infection .

▪  Fast and Efficient: single detection ≤ 1 second, supports continuous high-flow passage .

▪  High Precision: typical error ±0.3°C ~ ±0.5°C at room temperature .

▪  Temperature Range: generally 30–45°C .

Intelligent Functions

▪  Automatic ambient compensation, anti-sunlight interference

▪  Face tracking, maximum temperature lock, passenger counting

▪  High-temperature records, data export

Safe

passively receives infrared radiation, harmless to human body

4. Common Types

▪  Pure Temperature Measurement Door: only temperature detection, used in hospitals, schools, office buildings .

▪  Temperature + Metal Security Door (Mainstream): measures temperature and detects contraband metals simultaneously, used in airports, stations, subways.

▪  Thermal Imaging Temperature Detection Door: area-array thermal imaging, full temperature map, simultaneous multi-person temperature measurement.

5. Typical Application Scenarios

▪  Transportation hubs: airports, railway stations, subway stations, ports .

▪  Public buildings: hospitals, schools, shopping malls, exhibition halls, government buildings .

▪  Enterprises and factories: park entrances, workshops, office buildings .

▪  Special places: prisons, detention centers, courts .
